MuMiLi (Memory, Mind and Movement) Club in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area

MuMiLi (Memory, Mind and Movement) is a wellbeing project run by Suomen Senior Club ry. Its aim is to strengthen the mental, cognitive and physical functional capacity of older people from immigrant and foreign-language backgrounds, while preventing loneliness and social exclusion.

MuMiLi club activities

The project combines mental wellbeing support, memory-stimulating exercises and safe physical activity into a comprehensive programme that helps older people maintain their functional capacity, develop new social connections and strengthen their resources for everyday life.

Who is it for?

The target group consists of older people with a foreign background living in the Helsinki metropolitan area, particularly foreign-language speakers and people with an immigrant background who experience loneliness, social isolation or a decline in their functional capacity.

The activities are open to everyone, free of charge and designed to be easily accessible.

Funding

In 2026, the MuMiLi Club’s activities in the Helsinki metropolitan area are funded by a grant from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (STEA), through SVK Liitto ry. Suomen Senior Club ry is responsible for implementing the project.
